This page is intended as a guide to our QChord site and your online
shopping experience.
How do I get around the QChord web
site?
There are two parts to our site, the Main
Site (QChord information and support), and the QChord
Store.
Any time you see text in orange, like
this link to our home page, you have a hyperlink that you can
click for more information. (After you've visited a link, it turns
olive green; but you can still click it again.)
Right now, you're in the Main Site. The left and top navigation
bars display information buttons you can use to learn more about
the QChord and move around our web site. The Search button searches
the our entire site, including the QChord Store.
If you select the "Our Store" button in the top navigation
bar, you enter the QChord "store". In the QChord
Store, the left navigation bar contains product categories.
To navigate around the store, just click on any Product Category
in the left margin, or one of the shopping navigation buttons in
the top margin. (In the store, the Search button searches only the
products in the store.)
All the QChord Store pages include a Home button. You can
use it at any time to switch from the QChord Store back to this
Main Site. Provided that you don't close your browser, and that
you return to the QChord store within the hour, the contents of
your QChord Store Shopping Basket should stay intact, so you can
continue shopping without reentering your selections.

How do I shop online?
(By the way, you don't have to memorize these instructions, as
instructions are posted at each step of the shopping experience.)
These instructions pertain to shopping online in our QChord
Store.

Shopping
Our QChord Store is designed to resemble a real world shopping
experience with a shopping basket. However, rather than walking
around the store, you just click buttons to browse through our Catalog,
add items of interest to your shopping Basket, review what's in
your Basket, and proceed to Check Out. You can modify (add, remove,
or change quantities of) the contents of your Basket at any time
prior to final Check Out.
Check Out
When checking out, you'll be presented with choices about shipping
and methods of payment. After final
Check Out, you will see a Order Confirmation screen with your order
number and details, as well as payment instructions. Please note
the order number from the Order Confirmation screen for your records.
email Notices
Shortly after Check Out, you will receive an automated Order Confirmation
email from us confirming the details of your order. After that,
we will keep you posted via email on your order status.
If you're paying by credit card, you'll receive a "Receipt"
email from our merchant card processor Authorize.net.
When all your items are shipped, we send a Shipping Confirmation
email with shipment tracking information. (Most of the Shipping
Confirmation emails are sent to you by our primary shipper, UPS
(United Parcel Service).)
Most orders are shipped the next business day (Monday through Friday,
excluding major US holidays). During the holiday rush, some shipments
may go out on Saturday. Sometimes we split up shipments, shipping
different items from different warehouses; if we choose to split
shipments, you will not be charged any additional shipping.
Waitlist
Most items are in-stock at all times and are shipped by the next
business day. If you have multiple items in your order, in-stock
items will be shipped right away, and your credit card charged for
those items and shipping.
Backorder items will be labeled as "Waitlist". Waitlist items will
be automatically shipped separately when they become available.
Your credit card is not charged for a Waitlist item until it is
ready to ship. There is no extra shipping charge for the separate
shipping of Waitlist items.
You may cancel Waitlist items before they are shipped. Please
check with us on the status of your order. See "Order Changes"
below.
Order Changes
If you have any changes to your online order, the best thing to
do is to contact us
as soon as possible, as we will be doing our best to process your
order expeditiously. We do monitor our email regularly. Be sure
to reference your Order Number.
You may also call us during office hours (Monday through Friday,
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Pacific Time) at 1-800-866-8887 (USA toll free),
or 1-818-654-9744 (USA or International).
Although our process is highly automated, rest assured that your
order is reviewed by a real person for reasonability and discrepancies
before we ship it.

Can I order OFF-LINE?
Yes, of course. However, we encourage you to use the online Shopping
Cart and Check Out process; there are detailed product descriptions
for every product, including lists of the songs in every book. Then,
after you've selected your items, you can proceed to Check Out,
which will automatically total your order, calculate sales tax (California
only), and add on the shipping for you.
So, the process for online or off-line ordering is the same right
through Check Out. Then you just print out the Order Confirmation
screen as your order form and choose one of the payment methods
below. We will have a copy of your order on file, and wait to hear
from you about payment.

How much is shipping?
USA
UPS is our primary shipping method. For USA shipping addresses,
our online shipping chart is roughly based on UPS weight charts,
which are representative of the average cost to ship.
However, we may opt to use another carrier such as FedEx or USPS
Priority Mail, using our discretion as to the most appropriate method,
depending on the items ordered, and the number of packages required.
Also, note that, if you provide a P.O. Box for delivery, we must
use the USPS (US Postal Service).
In a hurry?
Please select the "International or Special Instructions . . .
please contact me" option as your shipping method at Check Out.
We will call you or email you with your shipping options and charges.
Allow us one business day (Monday - Friday, excluding major US holidays)
for order processing, although we'll do our best to ship same day
if we receive the order in the morning. Most items are in stock
at all times. We will notify you if any delay is anticipated.
International Customers
Please select "International . . .please contact me" option as
your shipping method at Check Out. If you have a preferred carrier,
please advise us by email after you Check Out.
We will contact you with a shipping quote by email after your package(s)
are packed and weighed. Please note that your country may or may
not impose custom duties (and/or tax), which are not included in
our pricing. We have noticed that Express Mail may be less expensive
than regular Air Mail to certain destinations. Also, note that Customs
in your country may hold packages for a few days, so scheduled delivery
times are only approximate.

Do You Charge Sales Tax?
Since we're located in California, yes, we must collect sales tax
on orders with a "Ship To" address in California. This
will be automatically calculated for you at Check Out.

How Do I Pay?
We welcome Mastercard, VISA, Discover, and American Express cards.
We also accept electronic checks, and paper checks and money orders.
See below for details on each payment method.
No matter which payment method you plan to use, the shopping process
is the same right through Check Out, where you will select your
payment method.
   CREDIT
CARDS
We welcome MasterCard, VISA, Discover, and American Express cards.
This also includes most check/debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard
logos, depending on your bank's policies. Most orders are shipped
by the next business day, see Shipping section
above for details.
If you choose "International or Special Instructions . . .
contact me" as your shipping method, we will contact you with
your shipping charges and order total before finalizing the charge.
CHECKS
We accept online, fax, and telephone checks payable in US$ and
drawn on a US, Puerto Rican, or Virgin Islands account. And, of
course, paper checks and money orders, payable in US$.
- Checks may be held for clearing.
- Please note that there is a $25 returned check fee by the bank
for any dishonored check.
Online
Checks.
We accept online checks using PayByCheck (formerly "iCheck"),
which is a secure, online payment service. Perhaps you have already
used this service at QVC or ShopNow. If not, we hope you'll try
it; we think you'll find it a safe, quick, and convenient way to
shop. Learn more about their policies
and how to use
the service. It's very simple, safe, and secure, you just fill
out a check on your screen, copying information from your paper
check. If you'd like to try it out, a direct payment link is provided
at Check Out in our QChord Store.
By the way, if for some reason you did not use the direct link
to PayByCheck at Check Out, and you go back later, you will
need our Merchant ID# 98442191 to submit your online check.
(Or, just click
here for another direct link.). We also suggest that you type
your Order Number in the Memo space on the online check as further
identification. We are notified by email when you issue the online
check.
Checks
By Fax
We can accept and process your US check via FAX through the electronic
PayByCheck service. Just fax us (1) the Order Confirmation screen,
or your Order Form, (2) your filled-in check made payable to Actron,
Inc., and (3) the last four digits of the Social Security Number
associated with your bank account (for identification and security
purposes). Send your FAX to us at (818)-654-9788.
Checks
By Phone
We can accept and process your US check by telephone through the
electronic PayByCheck service. Just call us at (800)-866-8887 (USA
only, toll-free), or (818)-654-9744 (USA or International), Monday-Friday
from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Pacific Time. Have your Order Number,
last four digits of your Social Security number, and your checkbook
handy.
Checks By Mail
And, of course, we accept paper checks and money orders by "snail"
mail. Send a copy of your Order Confirmation screen, or your Order
Form, and your check or money order, payable in US$, to:

International customers
If you have a US bank account, you can use the check options above.
If you don't have a US bank account, when you are asked for your
check number at Check Out, just type in Check # 0001; we'll contact
you by email to make payment arrangements. (We'll need to calculate
your shipping off-line anyway.)

How do you handle my information?
Security
We process orders in our online QChord Store via a secure server.
When you enter a secured area on our server, a closed "lock"
icon appears on the bottom status line of your browser window. Also,
the "http" URL in the location bar changes to "https"
to indicate a secure area. You enter the secured area when you begin
the "Check Out" process.
You may also notice the web site address changing to ".........shop.securesites....."
when submitting ordering information. Depending on the settings
in your browser, and the path you take through our site, you may
receive messages about going from unsecure to secure pages.
Credit cards: Even though we do utilize a secure server, we do
not want to take any chances with our customer's financial data.
Therefore, we do not keep a database of credit card information
on our server. We store your credit card information on our server
for only a very short time while your order is in process, until
it is handed off to the credit card processing service.
Electronic
Checks: PayByCheck is a well-established, secure, online payment
service. Learn more about their policies
and how to use
the service. It is simple to use.
Privacy
Simply stated, we do not trade nor sell customer information with
any outside party. We use it only to process your order, and, on
occasion, to communicate with you about updates to our site and
products.
Like any other business, we maintain a database of our customers.
However, you are not added to our customer database unless you take
an action that requires your assent, for example, place an order
with us, join our mailing list or Q-Club, open an account (see Your
Account below), or similar. Otherwise, we do not retain any
individualized information about your visit to our site.
Cookies
Our shopping basket uses temporary "cookies" to keep track of your
order details, only while you are shopping. This information expires
and is discarded after you Check Out, or after 60 minutes of inactivity
without checking out, or when you close your browser, whichever
occurs first.

Your Account
For your convenience, we plan to add an optional service whereby
you can set up an "account" with us for repeat ordering.
This will save you time filling out order forms and checking out.
At this time, the plan is to retain contact information like addresses,
but no sensitive financial information. Full details will be posted
when the service is added.

What is your return policy?
We know you can't fully appreciate
the all the features of our QChord, nor how easy it is to play,
by just reading about it.
We're so sure you'll love the QChord, that we offer this no risk,
satisfaction guarantee:
If QChord does not meet your expectations, return
it within 30 days of receipt for a full refund including your original
standard shipping cost *.
All we ask is that you pay the return shipping, and return it in
undamaged, re-saleable condition, in the original packaging. Otherwise,
we may need to adjust your refund for missing items or damage.
Just call 818-654-9744 within 30 days of receipt for a Return Merchandise
Authorization number (RMA #), and further instructions.
*Please note that we refund standard shipping charges
only, not surcharges for optional express shipping.
International purchasers: We offer a nearly identical Satisfaction
Guarantee, but we do not refund any shipping.
